BioNetwork Innovation Grant Provides Third Year of Funding for the Charlotte Region Collaboration
 
The NC Community College System BioNetwork recently awarded a Stanly Community College, the adminstrative agent for a consortium of Small Business Centers in the Charlotte Region, grant funding.  The grant--Charlotte Region BioBusiness Service Hub/Phase III:  Building a Support Network for Small Business Growth will enable the participating Small Business Centers to continue build upon earlier efforts.  Read the Press Release 
 


About The NCCCS BioNetwork

The NCCCS BioNetwork is a statewide initiative that connects community colleges across North Carolina, providing specialized training, curricula and equipment, to develop a world-class workforce for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.   Click here for more information about the BioNetwork.

 

All Community Colleges serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector are part of BioNetwork through grant funding, curriculum development and training programs or life science business and industry.   The BioBusiness Center is one of the six "centers of excellence", that along with the System Office Staff, make up the NCCCS BioNetwork.

 

The BioNetwork BioBusiness Center provides business development support to start-up and small biotechnology and life science businesses in partnership with Community College-based Small Business Centers. Our goals directly support four major initiatives:
