BioNetwork Innovation Grant Provides Second Year Funding for the Charlotte Region Collaboration
 
The NC Community College System BioNetwork recently awarded a Gaston College, the adminstrative agent for a consortium of Small Business Centers in the Charlotte Region, a grant of $ 48,444.  The grant--Charlotte Region BioBusiness Service Hub/Phase II:  Consolidation and Marketing for Resources and Support Systems for Biotechnology and Life Science Industries will build on earlier work by consolidating and marketing all the resources the Small Business Center's and BioNework have at their disposal.  Read the Press Release 
 


About The NCCS BioNetwork

The NCCCS BioNetwork is a statewide initiative that connects community colleges across North Carolina, providing specialized training, curricula and equipment, to develop a world-class workforce for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.

All Community Colleges serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector are part of BioNetwork through grant funding, curriculum development and training programs or life science business and industry.   The BioBusiness Center is one of the six "centers of excellence", that along with the System Office Staff, make up the NCCCS BioNetwork.

 

The BioNetwork BioBusiness Center provides business development support to start-up and small biotechnology and life science businesses in partnership with Community College-based Small Business Centers. Our goals directly support four major initiatives:
